Look at the repertoire of 99% of Ukrainian theaters - there are no modern Ukrainian playwrights among them. But we do exist. We are "some people". There was a Soviet cartoon where an elephant carried a pink dandelion in which lived a nation called "some people". We already have such a dandelion but we need a big and good elephant. And this elephant is a community, a large Ukrainian community that will understand us - the playwrights. The community that understands that modern theater is impossible without playwrights, people who create new meanings by writing texts. And if the theater ignores playwrights, then the playwrights will create their own theater.

The Theater of Playwrights is an opportunity for me to share my thoughts, find like-minded people, and find solutions through texts, plays and performances. It is important for me that my texts and the texts of my colleagues, which "hit" me with their meanings and emotions, are heard in the society where I live. Then it will be clear that all of this is not in vain.

The Theater of Playwrights is a chance for expressing the authors' voices of modern drama, which is still quite marginalized in both the theatrical and literary contexts in Ukraine. It is important that the playwrights can be active in the production of their texts and make key decisions, rather than expecting a "successful" marriage with directors, art directors, or producers.
